Menashe Kadishman

Menashe Kadishman (1932–2015) was a renowned Israeli artist and sculptor celebrated for his bold use of color, symbolism, and striking depictions of sheep, which were inspired by his youth as a shepherd on a kibbutz and became his iconic motif. A graduate of London’s Saint Martin’s School of Art, Kadishman’s work explored themes of nature, identity, and collective memory.

Sissman Gallery worked closely with the late artist, proudly exhibiting his work numerous times throughout his illustrious career.
