ABOUT SISSMAN GALLERY

Born in 1965 and raised in Haifa, Israel, Joseph Sissman earned a bachelor's degree in literature and art from Bar-Ilan University. He later taught at Bar-Ilan while pursuing a master's degree in literature and art. During this time, he began working as an art consultant for collectors, eventually leaving academia to focus on advising and trading works by artists associated with the École de Paris.

In 1997, he founded the Sissman Gallery, which specializes in the secondary art market and exhibited notable artists such as Kadishman, Tumarkin, Lifshitz, Kupferman, as well as international artists like Christo and Picasso (etchings).

While operating the gallery, Sissman published numerous art-related articles in significant art and literature newspapers, serving as a pillar in art history. Recently, he published his debut novel, “An Art Dealer Named Niemand,” which delves into the art world.
